Job summary

HDR is seeking a Senior Site Investigation and Remediation specialist in Michigan to lead complex contaminated-site projects. You will supervise investigations, design remedial actions and coordinate with clients and regulatory agencies.

The role includes preparing reports, cost estimates, and project plans, while contributing to proposals and marketing efforts. A PE license and 10+ years of experience with strong communication and project-management skills are required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering or closely related engineering field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in remedial investigation, design and implementation of remedial actions, with some project management experience.
  • Professional engineering license (PE or P.Eng) recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications (including Access, Excel, Word)
  • Excellent communication skills

  • Work with Project Managers and other technical team members in support of developing project deliverables, including writing or preparing technical reports, design drawings, technical specifications, engineering cost estimates and permit applications

  • Serve as a consultant and supervisor on remedial construction management projects as needed
  • Function as a Technical Specialist or Project Manager on mid-size projects as needed, but project management is not the sole focus of this position
  • Participate in marketing efforts for remediation design projects as needed
  • Supervise a staff of professionals and technicians in remedial design areas as needed
  • Perform other duties as required
