Job summary

HDR, Inc. seeks a Senior Environmental Engineer to lead remediation projects, supervise technical teams, and develop deliverables such as reports, design drawings, and permit applications.

You will coordinate with project managers, agencies, and clients to ensure practical, compliant solutions. The ideal candidate holds a BS in Environmental Engineering, 10+ years in remedial investigation and design, and a PE license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering or closely related field
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in remedial investigation, design and implementation of remedial actions, plus some project management experience
• Professional Engineer (PE) license recognized by licensing board in the job location
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Access, Excel, Word)
• Excellent communication skills
• Experience with soil and groundwater remedial technologies is preferred
• Active participation in employee-owned culture is expected

Responsibilities

• Conduct, supervise or direct investigation, evaluation and remedial design of contaminated sites
• Prepare reports, work plans and feasibility studies
• Work with agencies and clients to negotiate remedial actions
• Supervise staff on remedial design projects as needed
• Participate in marketing efforts for remediation design projects as needed
• Function as a technical specialist or project manager on mid-size projects
