Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking an Environmental Credit Risk Associate within the Commercial and Investment Bank Credit Risk Management Team. You will review environmental records for CRE loan transactions and analyze environmental risks using quantitative and qualitative methods.

You will coordinate with environmental consultants, obtain Phase I ESAs, and support management in standardizing environmental documentation and response activities across projects.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in environmental sciences or related field.
At least 5+ years of experience in environmental investigations, risk management, and loss prevention programs.
Experience administering environmental reviews and working with Phase I ESA reports preferred.

Responsibilities

Review environmental records/reports related to commercial real estate secured loan transactions and prepare review memoranda.
Coordinate and monitor requests for environmental consultants and supervise scope of work.
Obtain Phase I ESAs and other investigations from approved firms for CRE loans.
Perform independent research to augment environmental information in real estate collateral.
Assist in developing standardized documentation for environmental inspections and checklists.
Perform special projects analyzing environmental exposures in bank acquisitions and audit responses.
