Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems seeks a senior C2E Architect – Staff Systems Architect to lead end-to-end command and control architectures. Location is onsite in El Segundo, CA or San Diego, CA, with extensive collaboration across software, hardware, cyber, and systems teams.

Strong MBSE, trade studies, and cross-functional leadership are essential to translate CONOPS into integrated mission solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in STEM with 12 years of related experience, or MS with 10 years, or PhD with 8 years.
• Active U.S. Government Top Secret clearance (or ability to obtain)
• Experience with MBSE or digital engineering programs (ex. Cameo, DOORS, Enterprise Architect)
• Experience with technical trade studies that influenced architecture or design decisions
• Experience with systems engineering practices (requirements allocation, decomposition, interfaces)
• Experience leading technical efforts as an individual contributor
• Experience with cross-functional teams and customers

Responsibilities

• Develop end-to-end system and mission architectures for C2 and mission systems within the C2E portfolio.
• Translate CONOPS and operational needs into architectures and data flows.
• Lead architecture trade studies and document/defend recommendations.
• Define integration and verification strategies across software, hardware, networks, and test environments.
• Support requirements development, interface definition, and system integration planning.
• Contribute to ICDs, technical baselines, and major design reviews.
• Serve as technical point of contact for C2E architecture to leadership and customers.
