AEI Consultants is seeking a Senior/Principal Environmental Consultant to lead the Site Mitigation team in the northeast region, with national expansion opportunities. The role emphasizes client management, project oversight, and regulatory negotiations across NY, NJ, MA, and surrounding states.

The candidate will mentor junior staff, manage complex investigations through closure, and contribute to business development initiatives within AEI’s Site Mitigation Division.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of environmental consulting experience with project management.
• Strong verbal and written communication; business acumen.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with growth focus and self-starter attitude.
• Senior level expertise in environmental contamination and budgeting.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical reviews and guide proposal development for next steps.
• Serve as SME for regulatory programs across multiple states.
• Provide mentorship and technical leadership to staff.
• Manage scopes, schedules, budgets, and change orders.
• Develop cost estimates and conduct peer reviews of deliverables.
• Represent AEI with regulatory agencies, clients, and counsel.
