As a Managing Consultant, Project Manager Scientist based in Houston, Austin or New Orleans, you’ll lead field programs, guide wetland delineations and permitting strategies, and deliver high‑quality technical reports for major infrastructure and energy projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Natural Resources, or a related field (minimum 3.0 GPA) or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of relevant environmental experience, including wetland delineation, habitat assessments, and permitting.
• Project management experience.
• Strong working knowledge of plant identification, hydric soils, and hydrology indicators.
• Demonstrated technical writing, data management, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to travel and perform fieldwork up to 50% of the time.
• Driver's License Required: This position requires a valid driver's license and/or the ability to operate a company vehicle due to the nature of job duties, which include frequent travel to various client locations across a large geographical area.

Responsibilities

• Lead wetland delineations using the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Wetlands Delineation Manual and applicable Regional Supplements.
• Conduct habitat assessments, environmental impact analyses, and environmental due diligence for land development projects.
• Prepare technical reports, permit matrices, and compliance management plans.
• Support environmental assessments for renewable energy facilities, transmission lines, and major infrastructure projects.
• Collaborate closely with ERM Project Managers and Partners to deliver outstanding client outcomes.
• Manage quality, budget, and schedule expectations while supporting broader Impact Assessment team objectives.
• Develop technical proposals and drive business development initiatives.
