Environmental Resources Management (ERM) seeks a Senior Consultant, Geologist/Engineer in Charleston, WV to lead field investigations and remediation efforts. You will collect soil, groundwater, sediment, and air samples, supervise drilling, and oversee subcontractors for multi-site projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in geology, hydrogeology, engineering, environmental science, or related field.
• 3+ years of environmental field experience.
• HAZWOPER 40-hour certification required.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel.
• Ability to lift at least 40 pounds.
• Commitment to health and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Conduct soil, sediment, groundwater, surface water, soil vapor, and indoor air sampling.
• Oversee aquifer testing, drilling oversight, and soil logging.
• Perform soil boring and monitoring well installation.
• Carry out well development, purging, and sampling.
• Run remedial and wastewater treatment pilot tests.
• Operate and maintain remedial systems.
• Oversee subcontractors and assist with remediation/construction management.
• Perform Phase I and II environmental assessments for property transfers.
• Compile, evaluate, and interpret environmental data; assist with reports.
• Prepare environmental compliance plans, permits, and remediation docs.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regs.
• Deliver work within quality, budget, and schedule.
• Communicate with subcontractors, regulators, clients, and site tenants during fieldwork.
