Job summary

Tetra Tech, Inc. seeks a Senior Environmental Professional to support clients across the United States, with a near-term focus in the Pacific Northwest.

You will lead environmental strategy, compliance, and permitting efforts for industrial, commercial, and municipal projects, including field work, regulatory submissions, and risk assessments. Preferred candidates will have strong experience in waste, water, and air regulations, and the ability to work independently.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in engineering or scientific discipline is required.
• 8-13 years of relevant experience are required.
• Experience with waste, water, and air regulations.
• Ability to learn state and local municipality rules and requirements.
• Ability to work independently and complete assignments in agreed upon time.
• Ability to make and keep commitments.
• Pre-employment drug screening is required.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Provide project leadership and strategy on environmental projects in compliance and permitting.
• Lead and support environmental compliance, permitting, and sustainability projects for industrial, commercial, and municipal clients.
• Provide guidance related to air, water, waste, and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Prepare, review, and manage environmental permits, reports, and regulatory submissions.
• Conduct environmental assessments, audits, and site evaluations to identify obligations and risks.
• Manage client relationships, project schedules, deliverables, and technical work products.
• Support development and implementation of environmental management systems and sustainability initiatives.
• Perform field investigations, site inspections, and compliance reviews.
• Stay current on federal, state, and local environmental regulations and advise on changes.
