Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Senior Environmental Compliance Specialist / Environmental Scientist to support our Earth & Environment Team across the Northeast. You will conduct field audits, Phase I ESAs, and environmental inspections while developing procedures, permits, and training for industrial clients.

The role emphasizes ISO 14001 EMS program support, technical reporting, and client relationship management, with travel up to 50% and a focus on delivering accurate, timely results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant environmental field.
• 5+ years’ experience with environmental regulations.
• Ability to pass HAZWOPER medical/physical and respirator fit test.
• Experience in environmental compliance in industrial settings.
• Valid US driver’s license and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Perform environmental compliance audits and Phase I ESAs in the Northeast.
• Develop procedures, permits, reports, and training for clients.
• Support ISO 14001 EMS program development and auditing.
• Prepare written reports with data interpretation and visuals.
• Manage projects to scope, budget, and timeline.
• Build and maintain client relationships and provide QC.
