Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Sr. Environmental Engineer in Texas to build and lead environmental compliance at the Terafab semiconductor campus. You will shape programs spanning construction, manufacturing, and regulatory reporting, collaborating with engineers and regulators.

You will develop and maintain environmental plans, ensure compliance with EPA/TCEQ/DOT, and drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced, high-change environment. Relocation to the Anderson/College Station area may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering with an emphasis in environmental engineering.
• 5+ years of professional experience in environmental/regulatory compliance.
• Experience developing SWPPPs and site BMPs for stormwater compliance.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical data.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, execute, and improve environmental compliance programs at the Terafab location.
• Maintain compliance with regulations by TCEQ, DOT, EPA and others.
• Track and interpret new environmental laws; provide guidance to management.
• Perform environmental audits; ensure regulatory compliance.
• Build and operate the hazardous materials plan and tracking tools.
• Maintain stormwater and wastewater permits and related plans.
• Handle environmental reporting and record keeping.
• Coordinate contractors for permitting and testing.
• Assist EH&S team with site compliance as needed.
• Plan changes in facilities and equipment to meet regulatory requirements.
• Maintain relationships with regulators and engineering teams.
