Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Principal Environmental Engineer in Texas to lead site-specific air permitting strategies and ensure compliance with federal and state air regulations across SpaceX sites. You will interpret the Clean Air Act and related regulations, coordinate with regulators and engineering teams, and manage permitting programs for multiple facilities.

A relocation to a Texas SpaceX facility is required if not local, and candidates should have 12+ years in EHS and strong regulatory

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 12+ years of experience in design, development, and oversight of EHS disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute site-specific air permitting strategies at SpaceX sites.
• Assist in planning for changes in facilities or new construction to meet regulatory and permitting requirements.
• Serve as SME on the Clean Air Act and applicable regulations across jurisdictions.
• Track and interpret new and proposed federal and state air regulations and provide guidance to teams.
• Conduct internal air compliance audits and support external regulatory inspections across multiple sites.
