Qualifications

• BA/BS degree required; JD preferred.
• 3–5 years related claims exp, liability or environmental exposure preferred.
• Excellent verbal and writing skills with solid coverage analysis.
• Ability to review and evaluate technical, legal, and medical information.
• Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with insureds, underwriters, counsel, and carriers.

Responsibilities

• Complete coverage, liability, damage investigations on complex casualty and environmental claims.
• Make coverage determinations and draft written positions for insureds.
• Investigate, analyze, document, manage, and resolve claims cost-effectively.
• Set and manage reserves; oversee litigation planning, budgeting, and billing.
• Represent the company at meetings with management, carriers, mediation, and trial.
