Job summary

One80 Intermediaries is seeking a Senior Claims Analyst to join our growing team. This remote role focuses on casualty and environmental liability claims, exposing you to litigation and emerging environmental issues while you learn about insurance contracts and claims in a fast-moving, collaborative environment.

You will investigate, analyze, and resolve complex claims, determine coverage, set reserves, and coordinate with counsel and carriers.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree required.
• JD degree preferred.
• 3 to 5 years related work experience, preferably handling liability and/or clean-up claims, or working in a legal position.
• Complex auto liability experience a plus.
• Excellent verbal and writing skills and solid coverage analysis and drafting experience.
• Ability to review, analyze, and evaluate technical, legal and medical information.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Complete accurate coverage, liability, damage investigations and evaluations on complex casualty and environmental claims.
• Make coverage determinations and draft written positions to insureds and required parties.
• Investigate, analyze, evaluate, document, manage, report and execute strategies for cost-effective resolution.
• Set and manage reserves and oversee litigation coordination with counsel and budgeting.
• Represent the company in meetings with management, carriers, mediation and trial.
