Job summary

ICF is seeking an experienced Senior Business Development Lead in environmental services with a Florida focus. You will drive growth, lead BD activities, and manage client and teaming partner relationships across Florida and beyond.

You will provide strategic oversight and technical input for projects, lead project teams, and mentor junior staff. This remote role prefers Florida-based candidates and may involve periodic travel.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 15 years of experience in environmental, energy, or natural resource projects.
• Experience leading business development efforts including technical and cost proposals.
• Strong industry network with private/public sector clients and regulators.

Responsibilities

• Lead business development and build relationships with clients, driving growth in energy and water sectors with Florida emphasis.
• Lead project teams and staff on strategy development, agency coordination, and deliverable preparation.
• Oversee project management including client contact, budget, invoicing, scheduling, and subcontractor involvement.
• Advise on regulatory coordination under NEPA, CWA, ESA as required.
• Write and review technical reports and environmental documents.
• Mentor staff and contribute to BD skills, client management, and proposal development.
