Job summary

ICF is seeking an experienced Senior Business Development Lead in environmental services with a focus in Florida. You will lead business development activities and drive growth, managing client and teaming partner relationships across energy, water, and related sectors.

You will provide oversight, strategy, and technical advice for projects, mentor staff, and be willing to travel periodically. Position is remote with a preference for a Florida location.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, environmental policy, biology, or related discipline.
• Minimum of 15 years of experience with environmental, energy, and/or natural resource projects.
• Experience leading business development efforts including development of technical and cost proposals.
• Strong industry network with private/public sector clients and regulatory agencies.

Responsibilities

• Lead business development and build relationships with clients and contribute to growth in energy, water, and Florida-focused opportunities.
• Lead project teams and staff on strategy development, agency coordination, and report preparation.
• Oversee project management including client contact, budget control, invoicing, schedules, and subcontractor involvement.
• Lead or advise on regulatory coordination and NEPA/CWA-related activities.
• Write and review technical reports and environmental documents.
• Perform QA/QC of project documents and writing.
• Mentor staff in technical, project management, and business development skills.
