Job summary

Magnolia Oil & Gas is seeking an Environmental & Air Specialist in Houston to lead development and continuous improvement of environmental programs. You will serve as the primary expert on air regulations affecting upstream operations and drive emissions management, regulatory reporting, and LDAR programs across field operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline required.
• 10+ years of environmental compliance experience supporting upstream oil and gas operations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of Magnolia's environmental compliance and environmental performance programs.
• Serve as Magnolia's primary subject matter expert for environmental regulations affecting upstream oil and gas operations, with a focus on air compliance and emissions management.
• Develop, implement, and maintain environmental management systems, compliance processes, standards, and procedures to ensure consistent execution across company operations.
• Lead compliance programs associated with air permitting, air emissions, greenhouse gas reporting, NSPS OOOOa and OOOOb requirements, LDAR, and other applicable regulatory programs.
• Coordinate with environmental consultants supporting air permitting, emissions calculations, greenhouse gas inventory development, regulatory reporting, and other environmental compliance activities.
• Provide oversight of Magnolia's air permitting program and support operational planning activities to ensure environmental considerations are incorporated into facility design, modifications, and development projects.
