Job summary

Stantec's Environmental Services practice seeks a Senior Acoustical Consultant to support our expanding environmental noise, vibration, and acoustics practice in the U.S. Gulf or Mountain regions.

You will work with scientists and engineers on projects across energy, transportation, data centers, and federal markets, delivering planning, modeling, permitting, and reporting services. This role offers a hybrid schedule with two days per week in the office and periodic field work travel across the

Qualifications

• Experience in environmental acoustics/noise assessments is required.
• Experience with acoustic measurement practices and instrumentation is required.
• Experience with acoustical modeling software (CadnaA preferred) and tools (GIS, AutoCAD) is required.
• Experience managing multiple client-facing projects concurrently.
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations and permitting is required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to travel periodically for field work.
• Experience with gas pipeline noise studies preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage noise/acoustics projects from proposal to completion.
• Supervise junior staff and contribute to training.
• Conduct field measurements, analyses, modeling, and reporting.
• Interpret modeling results and document findings.
• Present at public meetings and act as expert witness.
• Develop task scopes and cost estimates for proposals.
• Pursue ongoing professional development.
