Job summary

Stantec’s Environmental Services practice seeks a Senior Acoustical Consultant to support our expanding noise, vibration, and acoustics (NVA) practice in the U.S. Gulf or Mountain regions.

You will collaborate with scientists and engineers on projects across renewable energy, power, data centers, oil and gas, transportation, and federal markets. The role offers a hybrid schedule with two days in the office, potential locations including Houston, and opportunities to lead and mentor staff while

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in acoustics, engineering, physical sciences, or related field.
• Master’s degree in acoustics, engineering, physical sciences, or related field beneficial.
• PE license or INCE certification beneficial.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in acoustics and noise assessments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage noise/acoustics projects from proposal to completion, delivering on time and within budget.
• Supervise junior staff and provide training in field work, analysis, modeling, and reporting.
• Conduct field measurements, technical analyses, modeling, and reporting.
• Analyze acoustical modeling results and document findings in technical reports.
• Present at public meetings and act as expert witness for acoustics projects.
• Contribute to proposals with task scopes and cost estimates.
• Pursue ongoing professional development and stay current with trends and software.
