Job summary

IREN is seeking a Sustainability Manager or Senior Manager, Environment to own site-facing environmental programs across water, waste, and biodiversity. You will execute water strategy, manage site waste and IT asset disposition, and coordinate biodiversity screening for development sites across North America, Australia and Spain.

The role requires 5–9 years in water stewardship or related fields, experience with vendors, and a bachelor’s degree.

Qualifications

• 5–9 years of experience in water stewardship, environmental management, ecology, or site environmental programs.
• Experience with water stewardship programs, watershed assessment, or context-based water targets.
• Experience managing environmental vendors and site programs with operations teams.
• Familiarity with biodiversity and land screening approaches for development projects; TNFD awareness is a plus.
• Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent programs with internal and external stakeholders.
• Bachelor's degree required; a degree in environmental science, ecology, or engineering is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Executing IREN's water strategy at site level, including delivery of water investments and partnerships.
• Maintaining site water stress baselines and supporting reporting and community engagement.
• Running site waste and recycling programs, including vendor audits and IT asset disposition.
• Managing IT asset disposition program with IT and Security teams, including reviews.
• Running biodiversity and land screens for development sites and maintaining siting-constraint data.
• Managing office footprint program with waste baselines and engagement actions.
• Coordinating with site Operations teams to reflect large-scale campus requirements.
• Providing program data to the sustainability data team for reporting.
