Job summary

TAG USA, based in New York City, seeks a Senior Tour Specialist to support our touring department. This full-time role (40 hours/week) collaborates with global teams to deliver proactive travel solutions, while maintaining high service standards for demanding entertainment clients.

The ideal candidate will manage complex itineraries, negotiate vendor rates, and mentor junior staff to uphold TAG Touring policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience within a travel agency.
• Strong knowledge of airfares, contracted fares, ticketing and reissues.
• GDS experience, Galileo preferred.
• Experience booking flights, hotels and VIP/group travel is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage touring client travel requirements and create itineraries meeting budgets and preferences.
• Fully service inquiries, bookings, and ticketing with high quality documentation.
• Report, investigate, and resolve client errors or complaints to high standards.
• Process complex reissues and pricing records accurately.
• Oversee QC procedures and tasks.
• Negotiate best rates from vendors to maximize profitability.
• Handle administrative tasks including accounting queries and payments with Finance.
• Demonstrate professionalism and attention to detail.
• Mentor touring team and share TAG policies and procedures.
• Retain accounts with personalized service for each client.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Senior Tour Specialist Overview:

We are looking for a full-time (40 hours per week) Senior Tour Specialist who can support our growing touring department. As a Senior Tour Specialist, you will have a diverse and varied role. You’ll collaborate with our global teams to support company initiatives and uncover innovative solutions, while taking a proactive approach to your day-to-day responsibilities.

Responsibilities & Duties:

• Manage touring client travel requirements, while anticipating and understanding individual client preferences and needs. Analyze all inquiries and requests received from clients and decide on the best options to offer. Formulate logistical itinerary plans to deliver practical travel solutions, ensuring that budgets and specific requirements are met.
• Fully service all inquiries, requests, bookings, and ticketing with the highest standards and quality documentation. Ensure all air, rail, hotel, and/or other ancillary reservations meet company and client expectations.
• Report, investigate and resolve errors or/and client complaints adhering to the highest standards of customer service.
• Process complex reissues and pricing records accurately.
• Manage Quality Control (QC) procedures and tasks.
• Negotiate the best rates and deals from vendors to reduce client expenditure. Assess all potential revenue and income streams for maximum company profitability.
• Process administrative tasks including accounting queries from both the client and Finance department through to final reconciliation. Assess client credit levels, if applicable, and work in conjunction with the Finance department to ensure payments are received.
• Demonstrate professionalism, attention to detail, service level expectations and general standards of performance and conduct.
• Act as a Mentor to touring team by assisting in the development of skills and knowledge of TAG Touring policies and procedures.
• Retain accounts and agreements, ensuring the highest standards and levels of service are delivered at all times with a personalized and individual approach to each client.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• In lieu of education, an equivalent combination of education and directly related experience.
• 5+ years of experience within a travel agency (Required)
• Strong knowledge and understanding of airfares, contracted fares, ticketing, and reissues (Required)
• GDS experience (Galileo preferred) (Required)
• Versed in booking flights, hotels, and have a good understanding of published airfares (Required)
• Experience handling VIP, entertainment clients, and/or group travel (Preferred)
