The role emphasizes airfares, ticketing, reissues, and vendor negotiations, with a focus on accuracy and superior service. This is a full-time on-site position based in New York City.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience within a travel agency.
  • Strong knowledge of airfares, contracted fares, ticketing and reissues.
  • GDS experience (Galileo preferred).
  • Experience booking flights and hotels; knowledge of published airfares.
  • VIP or entertainment travel experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage touring client travel requirements and preferences; create itineraries.
  • Process inquiries, bookings, and ticketing with high-quality documentation.
  • Resolve errors and client complaints per high service standards.
  • Negotiate rates with vendors to maximize profitability.
  • Support admin tasks including payments and reconciliations with Finance.

Senior Tour Specialist Overview:

We are looking for a full-time (40 hours per week) Senior Tour Specialist who can support our growing touring department. As a Senior Tour Specialist, you will have a diverse and varied role. Youll collaborate with our global teams to support company initiatives and uncover innovative solutions, while taking a proactive approach to your day-to-day responsibilities.

Responsibilities & Duties:
  • Manage touring client travel requirements, while anticipating and understanding individual client preferences and needs. Analyze all inquiries and requests received from clients and decide on the best options to offer. Formulate logistical itinerary plans to deliver practical travel solutions, ensuring that budgets and specific requirements are met.
  • Fully service all inquiries, requests, bookings, and ticketing with the highest standards and quality documentation. Ensure all air, rail, hotel, and/or other ancillary reservations meet company and client expectations.
  • Report, investigate and resolve errors or/and client complaints adhering to the highest standards of customer service.
  • Process complex reissues and pricing records accurately.
  • Manage Quality Control (QC) procedures and tasks.
  • Negotiate the best rates and deals from vendors to reduce client expenditure. Assess all potential revenue and income streams for maximum company profitability.
  • Process administrative tasks including accounting queries from both the client and Finance department through to final reconciliation. Assess client credit levels, if applicable, and work in conjunction with the Finance department to ensure payments are received.
  • Demonstrate professionalism, attention to detail, service level expectations and general standards of performance and conduct.
  • Act as a Mentor to touring team by assisting in the development of skills and knowledge of TAG Touring policies and procedures.
  • Retain accounts and agreements, ensuring the highest standards and levels of service are delivered at all times with a personalized and individual approach to each client.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • In lieu of education, an equivalent combination of education and directly related experience.
  • 5+ years of experience within a travel agency (Required)
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of airfares, contracted fares, ticketing, and reissues (Required)
  • GDS experience (Galileo preferred) (Required)
  • Versed in booking flights, hotels, and have a good understanding of published airfares (Required)
  • Experience handling VIP, entertainment clients, and/or group travel (Preferred)
