Job summary

The University of Chicago seeks a Senior Voice Support Specialist to lead large voice projects, deliver advanced troubleshooting, and coordinate with voice engineering to optimize telephony systems. You will drive successful implementations across campus and medical centers.

You will provide user training, document configurations, and support as a technical resource while ensuring HIPAA, PCI, and FERPA compliance across Cisco Call Manager, Unity Voicemail, UCCX and Finesse platforms.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field.
5–7 years of work experience in a related job discipline.
Cisco, telephony, or unified communications certifications preferred.
Experience with Cisco Unified Communication technologies (Call Manager, Unity voicemail, UCCX, Finesse).
Adherence to HIPAA, PCI, FERPA regulations to protect data.

Responsibilities

Lead large-scale, complex voice projects across University and UChicago Medical Center locations.
Coordinate with IT Services, administration, clinical departments, and external vendors.
Plan and implement voice-related projects with project managers and stakeholders.
Provide user training and ongoing technical guidance for rollouts and upgrades.
Document configurations, processes, and system elements for team use and compliance.
