Job summary

Northwest Bancshares is seeking a Lead Enterprise Systems Engineer to own and advance core infrastructure including AD, DNS, DHCP, storage, and cloud platforms. The role demands leadership in planning, implementing, and supporting enterprise systems across on‑premises and cloud environments.

You will mentor staff, coordinate with vendors, and drive changes that boost performance, resiliency, and security while maintaining comprehensive documentation and standards.

Qualifications

• More than 15 years in an infrastructure engineering related role.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server and Linux operating systems.
• Experience with AD, DNS, DHCP, Kerberos, GPO, DFS and file shares.
• Cloud experience with Azure and AWS; familiar with Office 365 and Exchange.
• Ability to lead, mentor, and train teammates; strong vendor management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day operational support for core server and tier 3 application infrastructures.
• Design, build, patch, test, and deploy systems meeting business needs.
• Coordinate server patches or upgrades and ensure security compliance.
• Plan infrastructure changes to improve performance, resiliency, and efficiency.
• Create and maintain documentation for enterprise server topologies and configurations.
• Engage with vendors and IT personnel on projects and issue resolution.
• Provide technical support for complex problems across the enterprise.
