Job summary

Sony Pictures Entertainment is seeking a Lead, Systems Engineering to champion the uptime and management of SPE Global Enterprise Server Infrastructure. You will analyze, design, and implement enterprise systems, with emphasis on problem management, project leadership, and vendor relationships.

You will oversee a global team, drive standardization across hardware/OS, and ensure service levels for Windows/Linux environments, virtualization, and cloud deployments. Travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in IT with major systems and vendors.
• 5+ years deploying, managing and maintaining Cloud Services on major CSPs (AWS/AZURE/GCP).
• 5+ years as Intel/x86 systems administrator.
• 8+ years with Windows and Linux operating systems.
• 3+ years with Virtualization OS (VMware/PowerVM/Oracle VM).
• 3+ years with multi-tiered application development.

Responsibilities

• Senior team member on Global Server Technology Team.
• Installations and configurations of virtualization technologies and operating systems.
• Establish standards for server hardware and OS.
• Develop performance management procedures for server infrastructure.
• Manage outages, identify root cause, and resolve server issues within SLAs.
• Participate in change control, production acceptance, and event management processes.
• Develop operational procedures and policies; contribute to disaster recovery capability.
• Report monthly statistics and progress against SLAs.
