Job summary

NexGen Data Systems seeks an Information Technology MIS Manager to lead enterprise storage, backup, and BC/DR architecture across a large, multi-division organization. You will design risk assessments and recovery plans, supporting multi-platform operations and EDI/EC interactions.

You will manage NetApp/Pure Storage, Cohesity/Veritas data protection, and cloud storage tiers while guiding engineering teams and delivering executive-ready documentation.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret security clearance required.
• IAT Level II certification (Security+ CE, CCNA Security, CySA+, etc.).
• DoD CE certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect – Professional or Azure Architect Expert.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/IS/Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years enterprise IT engineering with SAN/NAS administration.
• Experience integrating cloud storage and backup services (AWS/Azure/OCI).
• Experience hardening storage platforms to DISA STIGs and audit readiness.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise storage, backup systems, and BC/DR architecture.
• Design and maintain DR runbooks and failover validation.
• Architect and manage NetApp/Pure Storage arrays and Brocade switches.
• Oversee data protection platforms (Cohesity, Veritas NetBackup).
• Implement storage security controls including encryption at rest/transit.
• Troubleshoot storage bottlenecks and backup anomalies; perform RCA.
• Drive automation via Python/PowerShell/Bash and IaC.
• Mentor engineering teams and produce technical docs and SOPs.
