Job summary

NexGen Data Systems is seeking an Information Technology MIS manager to design and manage risk assessment and business contingency planning for a large, decentralized organization. The role spans multi-platform operations, EDI applications, and enterprise storage security and resilience.

You will lead engineering teams, implement automation, and ensure audit readiness across on-prem and hybrid environments. US DoD experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• DoD Secret clearance required
• DoD 8570/8140 baseline certs: IAT Level II
• CE certifications (AWS/Azure/NetApp/etc.)
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent
• 5+ years enterprise IT engineering
• Hands-on SAN/NAS admin and Fibre Channel
• Experience with NetApp and Pure Storage
• Experience with Cohesity and Veritas
• Cloud storage experience (AWS/Azure/OCI)
• DISA STIG/IAVA remediation experience
• Scripting/automation: PowerShell, Python, Bash
• Windows Server and RHEL storage admin; DB protection

Responsibilities

• Lead storage, backup, and BC/DR architecture
• Design risk assessments and disaster recovery runbooks
• Architect storage arrays and fabric networks
• Oversee data protection and backup operations
• Implement storage security controls and encryption
• Troubleshoot storage bottlenecks and failures
• Drive IaC and automation for provisioning and policy enforcement
• Mentor engineering teams and review designs
• Create technical documentation and reports
