Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Senior Enterprise Storage Engineer to oversee storage hardware and software systems, focusing on SAN/NAS administration. You will ensure security, patching, and backups, while implementing automated environments for reporting and updates.

The role involves capacity planning, data replication, and data migrations with minimal service disruption. You will design and maintain enterprise storage solutions across SAN, NAS, and hyperconverged platforms, coordinating with vendors

Qualifications

U.S. citizenship required.
Active Secret clearance required.
Enterprise IT experience.
Working knowledge of SAN/NAS architectures, Fibre Channel and iSCSI fabrics, zoning, and NFS/SMB protocols.
Experience integrating storage with virtualization platforms such as VMware vSphere.

Responsibilities

Provide technical oversight of SAN/NAS storage environments and maintain security/compliance.
Design, implement, and optimize enterprise storage solutions (SAN/NAS/HO)
Plan capacity, performance monitoring, and DR strategies.
Perform firmware and software upgrades and patching per change control.
Coordinate and communicate outages, schedules, and project status.
Maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and runbooks.
Manage vendor support, hardware maintenance, and asset lifecycle.
