Job summary

Sarela Technology Solutions in Fort Belvoir, VA is seeking an experienced Senior Storage Engineer to design, implement, and optimize enterprise storage platforms across production and non-production systems. The role requires deep hands-on expertise in NetApp, Dell EMC, Hitachi, and VMware storage technologies, with a focus on availability, performance, and security, including DISA STIG alignment.

Candidates must hold a current Top Secret/SCI clearance and DoD 8570.11-IAT Level II

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree with 8–12 years of relevant storage experience.
Current Top Secret/SCI clearance at time of consideration.
DoD 8570.11 IAT Level II certifications required.
Deep knowledge of storage systems architecture and lifecycle engineering.

Responsibilities

Lead engineering, administration, and support of enterprise storage environments.
Design and maintain scalable file, block, and hybrid storage solutions.
Provisioning, configuration, upgrades, migrations, and decommissioning.
Manage aggregates, volumes, SVMs, snapshots, replication, and tiering.
Administer NetApp, Dell EMC, and Hitachi arrays; ensure host connectivity.
Support SAN/NAS with FC, iSCSI, NFS, and SMB/CIFS protocols.
Ensure DISA STIG and DoD security compliance through hardening.
Monitor health, capacity, utilization, and performance; plan upgrades.
