Job summary

SarelaTech is seeking an experienced Senior Storage Engineer to design, implement, administer, and optimize enterprise storage platforms in Fort Belvoir, VA. This role ensures storage availability, performance, scalability, security, and resilience across production and non-production systems.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree with DoD IT experience or equivalent.
Active TS/SCI clearance at time of consideration.
IAT II certifications (Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, GSEC or SSCP).
Expertise with NetApp, Dell EMC, Hitachi and VMware storage stacks.
Strong knowledge of SAN/NAS, backups, virtualization, and hardening.

Responsibilities

Lead engineering and support of enterprise storage environments (NetApp, Dell Unity).
Design highly available, scalable storage for file, block, and hybrid workloads.
Provision, upgrade, migrate, and decommission storage systems.
Manage pools, LUNs, snapshots, replication, tiering, and host connectivity.
Ensure DISA STIG compliance and DoD security requirements.
Monitor health, performance, capacity; plan for expansion and remediation.
Troubleshoot storage, replication, latency, and pathing issues across hosts.
Mentor junior staff and maintain clear storage documentation.
