Job summary

The Bay Area Air Quality Management District is seeking a Principal Systems Analyst in the Enterprise Technology Division to lead the most complex IT architecture initiatives, design scalable enterprise solutions, and oversee critical modernization projects.

Under the Director, you will drive cloud adoption (Azure, M365), define integration strategies, enforce data governance and security standards, and mentor staff across teams while aligning with district goals.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a closely related field.
Four years of experience in systems analysis, design, and IT project management, including leading large-scale IT initiatives.
Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

Lead architecture and solution design for enterprise applications, cloud services, integrations, and digital transformation initiatives.
Develop and maintain enterprise architecture standards, principles, patterns, and best practices.
Design scalable solutions leveraging Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, and other cloud platforms.
Define integration strategies for enterprise systems, document management, CRM, permitting, grants management, analytics, and workflow systems.
Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to ensure security, compliance, and governance requirements.
Lead architectural reviews and provide senior technical oversight throughout project lifecycles.
Develop multi-year IT roadmaps and oversee major IT initiatives with resource planning and risk management.
Ensure compliance with IT regulations and drive DevOps practices to improve deployment processes.
