Job summary

Bay Area Air District is recruiting a Principal Systems Analyst in the Enterprise Technology Division to lead architecture, designs, and governance for enterprise IT solutions. The role focuses on cloud-based platforms, integrations, and analytics with strong emphasis on security and regulatory compliance.

The position oversees large IT initiatives, mentors staff, and develops multi‑year roadmaps aligned with district objectives. Hybrid work options may be available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or closely related field and four years of experience in systems analysis, design, and IT project management.
• Experience leading large-scale IT initiatives and enterprise IT solution delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture and integration of enterprise IT solutions across platforms with emphasis on scalability and security.
• Develop and maintain enterprise architecture standards, patterns, and governance.
• Design solutions using Azure, Microsoft 365, and cloud services.
• Define integration strategies for enterprise systems and analytics platforms.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to ensure security and regulatory compliance.
• Mentor staff and provide technical oversight throughout project lifecycles.
• Develop roadmaps, requirements, and implementation plans for major initiatives.
