Job summary

Centene is seeking a Software Engineer to design, develop, and implement complex enterprise software solutions. You will collaborate with data modelers, architects, analysts, and SMEs to deliver ETL, data warehousing, and letter-generation capabilities using SQL Server, T-SQL, C#, and SSIS.

You will create and maintain the in-house letter application, optimize stored procedures and data flows, schedule and monitor jobs, provide production support, and document designs.

Qualifications

• Requires 4 - 6 years of Microsoft SQL Server development (T-SQL, stored procedures, indexing, performance tuning).
• Requires 3+ years of C# development.
• Requires 3+ years of SSIS development.
• Experience with EDI and Healthcare/Managed Care data is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Designs, develops, and implements complex enterprise software solutions across the data and reporting stack.
• Creates, optimizes, and maintains SQL Server objects (stored procedures, functions, views, tables).
• Owns and enhances the in-house letter application and its data flows.
• Develops and supports SSIS packages for ETL and document conversion workflows.
• Schedules, monitors, and troubleshoots jobs using ActiveBatch.
• Performs data analysis, testing, and production support; documents designs and processes.
• Contributes to data mart, EDW feeds, and reporting development as needed.
