Job summary

Centene Corporation is seeking a highly skilled software engineer to design, develop, and implement complex enterprise solutions in a data-driven environment. You will build and optimize SQL Server objects, own the letter generation workflow, and develop SSIS-based ETL and reporting components while collaborating with data modelers, architects, and SMEs.

The role requires 4–6 years of related experience, strong T-SQL and C# skills, and familiarity with EDI and healthcare data.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of related experience in enterprise software or data integration.
• Strong SQL Server (T-SQL) development and data transformation skills.
• Experience with C# development and SSIS workflows.
• Familiarity with EDI and healthcare data is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement complex enterprise software solutions with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Create, optimize, and re-engineer SQL Server objects for staging and transforming data (claims, authorizations, members, providers).
• Own and enhance in-house letter application using C# to produce Word docs and SSIS-based PDF conversion.
• Develop and support SSIS packages for ETL, file processing, and document workflows.
• Schedule, monitor, and troubleshoot jobs with ActiveBatch.
• Perform data analysis, testing, and production support; resolve data and performance issues.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and design data flows.
• Communicate issues clearly to business and technical stakeholders and design solutions.
• Contribute to data mart development, EDI X12 processes, EDW feeds, and report development.
• Perform other duties as assigned and comply with policies.
