Job summary

Blue Cross NC is seeking a Senior Safety & Security Advisor to lead enterprise security operations, incident response, and risk mitigation across locations. The role supports executive protection, investigations, and security program execution with a high degree of discretion and operational discipline.

The position may require travel, after-hours work, and on-call coverage to ensure continuous security across facilities, leadership, and assets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 5 years of related experience; without degree, 7+ years.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day corporate security operations across locations, including incident triage, response coordination, and investigations support.
• Respond to security incidents, emergencies, workplace threats, and events impacting people, facilities, or operations.
• Assist with documentation, reporting, and escalation of security concerns per protocols.
• Provide backup support to Manager during absences or surge periods.
• Coordinate with law enforcement partners as needed.
• Support executive and Board protection services during business hours and events.
• Assist with advance security planning, site assessments, and threat identification for executive movements.
• Maintain confidentiality, situational awareness, and professionalism in protective engagements.
• Help execute enterprise-wide safety and security programs and risk assessments.
• Identify gaps or risks in policy application and elevate recommendations.
• Work with contract security personnel and vendors; provide operational direction.
