Job summary

Salesforce, Inc. is seeking an Enterprise Application Security Engineer to join the Secure AI team in the United States. You will assess and maintain the security of AI tooling, partner with stakeholders, and drive secure deployment of AI at scale.

The role focuses on architecture reviews, penetration testing, threat modeling, and creating security standards for AI systems, with opportunities to share knowledge through internal events and research.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a security engineering role including Application Security and Pentesting.
• Experience with large language models (LLMs) and agentic systems, building, evaluating, or securing them.
• Knowledge of AI security attack surfaces such as prompt injection, data exfiltration, privilege escalation in agents, and model supply chain risks.
• Understanding of RAG architectures, retrieval and generation pipelines.
• Familiarity with security frameworks and industry standards is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth security assessments of emerging AI technologies, including architecture reviews, code reviews, and penetration tests.
• Threat model attacker methods and develop mitigation techniques balancing security and functionality.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to drive secure SDLC and define technical security standards.
• Research new technologies and vulnerabilities to support strategic planning and process improvements.
• Build tools to enable secure use of AI at scale.
