Job summary

Independence Pet Holdings is seeking an Advanced Program Manager to lead high-complexity, enterprise programs across Marketing and technology-enabled initiatives. The role is hybrid, based in Chicago, IL, and reports to Portfolio Execution leadership.

You will partner with senior leaders from business, product, technology, data, operations, and legal/compliance to shape delivery plans, governance, and measurable outcomes while mentoring team members responsible for intake and governance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 10+ years of relevant program, portfolio, transformation, product delivery, or enterprise change experience.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate alignment across senior leaders and teams on ownership and prioritization.
• Improve portfolio execution practices, intake workflows, prioritization frameworks, and governance standards.
• Lead a portfolio of Marketing programs and complex technology-enabled initiatives with enterprise impact.
• Prepare and deliver concise executive communications, portfolio tradeoff assessments, steering materials, and recommendations for senior leadership.
• Mentor program managers and intake/governance partners; establish quality standards.
• Oversee the Portfolio Governance Tool and ensure data is current, owner-assigned, and actionable.
