Job summary

Element U.S. Space & Defense is seeking a Network Engineer III to design, secure, and optimize enterprise networks across multiple data centers and sites. You will manage WAN/LAN/WLAN, SD-WAN, and cloud connectivity (AWS/Azure), ensuring high availability and compliance with cybersecurity requirements.

The role requires senior technical leadership, collaboration with IT and business teams, and mentoring for junior staff while supporting critical missions in government and commercial sectors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT/CS or related field with 5+ years in enterprise networks.
• Experience with WAN/LAN/WLAN, SD-WAN, and cloud networking in Azure or AWS.
• Familiarity with NIST 800-171, CMMC, and regulatory requirements is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and operate enterprise WAN, LAN, WLAN, SD-WAN, data center, and cloud networks.
• Configure routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless controllers; support performance tuning.
• Ensure security controls, disaster recovery, and regulatory compliance across locations.
• Lead upgrades, migrations, and modernization with minimal business disruption.
• Mentor junior staff and provide after-hours incident support when needed.
