Job summary
Oak is reimagining enterprise identity with an AI-native Identity Operating System. As a Solutions Engineer, you will be the technical backbone of our sales motion, running demos, POVs, and proofs of value to prove Oak's value to CISOs, IAM engineers, and compliance leaders at complex enterprises.
You will work with Accounts Executives to shape the technical strategy for opportunities, respond to security questionnaires, and feed feedback to Product and Engineering to influence Oak's roadmap.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience as a Solutions Engineer or Sales Engineer in cybersecurity or identity
- Working knowledge of IAM/IGA concepts (JML, access reviews, RBAC/ABAC, SoD, SCIM, SAML/OAuth)
- Comfort delivering live technical demos and POVs to technical and executive audiences
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business risk and ROI for CISOs and compliance teams
- Strong ownership mentality and ability to operate autonomously in a fast-moving startup environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication, including RFP/security questionnaire responses
Responsibilities
- Run technical discovery calls to map a prospect's identity stack (on-prem, cloud, SaaS, homegrown apps)
- Deliver tailored product demos showing how Oak unifies access reviews, JIT requests, and lifecycle management for humans, NHIs, and AI agents
- Design and execute Proofs of Value (POVs) with prospects
- Own technical responses to RFPs/RFIs and security questionnaires
- Partner with Account Executives to craft technical strategy for opportunities
- Transmit customer feedback to Product and Engineering to sharpen Oak's roadmap
