Job summary

Southland Industries is seeking a senior events leader to drive the company’s event strategy and calendar in alignment with business priorities. You will oversee planning, execution, and measurement from intake through post-event analysis, partnering with stakeholders to deliver high-impact experiences at scale.

You will negotiate venues and services, manage budgets, and lead cross-functional teams to ensure successful execution across locations.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in corporate events including leadership of teams
• Experience negotiating event contracts with vendors and venues
• Strong communication skills to build relationships with vendors, partners and stakeholders
• Experience working with project management systems such as Asana, Monday, Wrike or similar

Responsibilities

• Lead the company's event strategy and align the event calendar with business priorities and goals.
• Own the full event lifecycle from intake to post-event reporting and measurement.
• Negotiate vendor contracts and manage budgets to drive cost efficiency.
• Plan, coordinate and execute events with stakeholders to meet goals and attendee experience objectives.
• Develop event timelines, run-of-show, on-site execution and post-event follow-up.
• Oversee the external event calendar and evaluate exhibitor, conference and sponsorship opportunities.
