Job summary

Trane Technologies seeks a senior/principal data modeler to drive enterprise data modeling across core domains. You will define standards, align business requirements with IT strategy, and lead design sessions with analytics teams.

You will partner with data engineers and domain owners to support MDM, data mesh, and data fabric initiatives while mentoring junior staff and optimizing data structures for performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, IT, or related field.
• 7+ years of progressive, hands-on data modeling experience for senior roles.
• Experience designing conceptual, logical, and physical models across domains.
• Hands-on with ERP, analytics, and cloud ecosystems (Oracle, SAP, GCP, Snowflake, AWS, Azure).
• Expertise in relational and dimensional modeling (star/snowflake, data vault).
• Knowledge of MDM, data mesh, data fabric, and data product concepts.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain enterprise data models for core domains.
• Lead data model design sessions and establish standards.
• Collaborate with finance, supply chain, and sales to align models.
• Design data integration patterns across ERP, CRM, data lake, and warehouse.
• Mentor junior modelers and review models for enterprise alignment.
