Job summary

Blue Water Thinking is seeking an experienced Business Intelligence Developer to support the VA’s IHT initiative. You will obtain and analyze data with advanced models and algorithms to guide strategic decisions and optimize outcomes for major government infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities include designing data collection tools, building pipelines, modeling trends, and presenting insights to stakeholders. This role requires strong technical leadership and a security-conscious approach.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in systems engineering or enterprise analytics within large-scale Federal environments.
• Experience with Azure Government, Databricks, Synapse Analytics, and Azure Data Factory.
• Ability to translate requirements into enterprise technology solutions.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience with cloud platforms and data integration.

Responsibilities

• Work with technical teams to design and implement data collection tools and techniques to ensure data integrity, frequency, and confidence.
• Create data pipelines that utilize data sources via Python SQL and/or Azure Data Factory.
• Extrapolate data patterns using advanced algorithms to identify actionable insights.
• Develop graphs, charts, and visualizations to communicate complex technical findings.
• Present analytical outcomes to managers and stakeholders to guide business model adjustments and future planning.
• Collect, clean, and validate large datasets from multiple VA sources.
• Translate raw data into meaningful reports that support healthcare transformation goals.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align data strategies with program objectives.
• Support predictive modeling and trend analysis to improve veteran healthcare delivery.
