Job summary

V Group Inc. in Albany, NY seeks an experienced enterprise architect to design and implement technology solutions that align with NYS ITS standards. You will lead end-to-end COTS integration and provide L3 support for a distributed Windows server environment.

The role requires strong troubleshooting, scripting in PowerShell, and collaboration with vendors and agency teams to install, configure, and test COTS applications while ensuring reliability and governance.

Qualifications

• Experience translating business requirements into technical security infra designs.
• Server administrator at the application layer for COTS business apps on Windows OS.
• Experience with authentication using AD, SSO (SAML 2.0) and OpenID Connect.
• Analytical support for COTS interfaces and system interconnects; use network tools for diagnostics.

Responsibilities

• Architect technology solutions that meet NYS ITS standards and strategies.
• Troubleshoot OS configuration, storage, networking for COTS apps and Stealth COIs.
• Collaborate with COTS Vendors and Agency areas for installation, configuration and testing.
• Resolve COTS issues including performance tuning, log analysis and security.
• Review current architecture and propose upgrades with detailed specs.
• Research solutions with external vendors for COTS implementation and testing.
• Recommend system enhancements to improve performance and reliability.
• Mentor Transportation Portfolio Architecture team members;
• Provide L3 technical support for enterprise Windows server environments including COTS apps.
• Analyze systems, document data on COTS, including tuning and security improvements.
• Automate tasks with PowerShell and perform AD maintenance.
• Use ticketing system to track incidents, requests, problems, changes, releases.
