Job summary

ezCater is the #1 food tech platform for workplaces in the US. The Enterprise Architect is our most senior individual contributor in technology, chairs the Architecture Board, and owns the architecture decision process.

You will set the target-state architecture connecting legacy and new platforms, and you will test designs with senior engineers, ensuring high-quality decisions are communicated to executive leadership.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in software engineering with experience as the accountable architect for a platform transformation or re-platforming at scale.
• Made and defended consequential decisions on event-driven architecture, service decomposition, data and identity modeling, and build-versus-buy.

Responsibilities

• Chair the Architecture Board and own its decision register with owners and dates.
• Run the Architecture Decision Record (ADR) gate that workstreams pass through before build.
• Hold standing architecture authority over foundational platform programs and set the target-state architecture for legacy and new platforms.
• Pressure-test designs with senior engineers and present architecture decisions to executive leadership.
