Job summary

Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions in Research Triangle Park, NC seeks an experienced Senior Enterprise Architect to lead end-to-end solution delivery, unifying platform infrastructure, client engagement, and partner integrations for a scalable retail platform.

You will own architecture lifecycle from discovery to production, guiding dual-track delivery, and driving architectural governance with AI-assisted development. Strong leadership and hands-on coding are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 8 years of professional software development experience, with hands-on coding and prototyping.
• 5+ years designing cloud-native, microservices or event-driven architectures (Azure or equivalent).
• Experience owning end-to-end solution delivery including design, implementation, and post-release accountability.
• Experience with partner integrations (payments, SaaS APIs, loyalty, inventory).
• Hands-on experience building prototypes or reference implementations for architecture validation.
• API-first design experience (REST/OpenAPI).
• Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases and containerized deployments (Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools and dual-track Agile is a plus.
• Strong stakeholder communication and workshop facilitation skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end solution architecture across discovery, design, delivery, and operations.
• Design and build platform infrastructure to support evolving product needs.
• Produce ADRs, interface contracts, data flows, and migration plans.
• Define architecture standards and non-functional requirements across solutions.
• Lead platform infrastructure development and reference implementations.
• Serve as technical lead in client engagements and governance activities.
• Mentor engineers and ensure architecture governance.
