Job summary

Medtronic is seeking an Enterprise Architect to establish architecture standards, govern portfolios, and guide modernization efforts across global technology platforms. The role emphasizes collaboration with business and IT leaders to drive strategic objectives, with a focus on connected devices, cloud security, API strategies, and regulatory compliance.

A strong leadership background and experience in medical technology are highly valued.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience with a bachelor’s degree or 8+ years of experience with an advanced degree
• 5+ years of experience aligned to a relevant architecture discipline (solution architecture, integrations, services, infrastructure, deployment and support of technology)
• 3+ years of experience in information architecture or 5+ years of experience as data analyst, business intelligence analyst, or equivalent roles
• 3+ years of experience working with data architecture of cloud-based solutions (e.g., applications (SaaS), platforms (PaaS), and infrastructure (IaaS)) within an Enterprise environment
• Strong business acumen, decision making, and influence skills across all levels of an organization
• Excellent leadership and teamwork skills
• Strong communication skills, including with employees, clients, senior management and vendors
• Demonstrated ability to work in a global, virtual organization
• Excellent presentation skills, including the ability to translate technical information into business terms (e.g., ability to explain complex technical solutions and architecture strategies to non-technical resources)
• Technology depth and credibility with technical staff
• Work experience in the Medical Device Industry, or other regulated industry

Responsibilities

• Define enterprise architecture strategy and roadmaps aligned to business priorities
• Lead interoperability and API strategies leveraging industry standards
• Mentor team members and foster architecture capabilities
• Partner with business and IT leaders to advance strategic objectives
• Promote collaboration and ensure architectural alignment across value streams
• Contribute to design decisions and governance through the Architecture Review Board
