Job summary

IBM Finance & Operations seeks an Enterprise Architect to define the end-to-end architecture and technology direction for consumption-based business processes. You will connect business strategy with enterprise applications, data platforms, and integration patterns to enable scalable revenue operations.

You will guide architecture roadmaps, mentor teams, and ensure high-quality data and system integrity while partnering with Finance, Sales, Product, and Engineering to drive measurable outcomes.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in enterprise architecture, solution architecture, or related field.
• Track record designing end-to-end architectures across quote-to-cash, revenue ops, or similar value streams.
• Fluency in SaaS applications, APIs, data modeling, data pipelines, and cloud platforms.
• Experience with consumption-based or usage-based business models impacting billing and revenue.
• Experience across CRM, CPQ, contracting, provisioning, entitlements, metering, billing, ERP, and data platforms.
• Ability to connect business capabilities to technical boundaries and measurable outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain the end-to-end enterprise architecture vision and multi-year roadmap for Confluent’s consumption-based quote-to-cash ecosystem including CRM, CPQ, contract lifecycle management, usage and billing platforms such as Metronome, ERP and revenue accounting systems, customer success platforms, and data platforms.
• Design scalable, resilient flows from customer acquisition through quoting, contracting, provisioning, usage capture, pricing, billing, invoicing, collections, renewals, and revenue accounting.
• Develop roadmaps balancing near-term delivery, value, reliability, debt, cost, security, compliance, and scalability.
• Partner with business and technical leaders to translate objectives into coherent investments with sequencing and measurable outcomes.
• Coach and mentor BSAs, architects, and delivery partners; raise quality of solution design and engineering practices.
