Job summary

Orgill is seeking a seasoned Enterprise Architect to lead target-state architecture across commerce, inventory/order management, and finance systems. You will balance mainframe governance with a growing SaaS and cloud footprint, partnering with engineering, product, and business teams to drive roadmap decisions and build-vs-buy analyses.

You will provide oversight from scoping to implementation, establish integration standards (API, iPaaS, EDI), and evaluate vendors against a long-term strategy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 10+ years in enterprise or solutions architecture roles, including 3+ years focused on retail, commerce, or supply chain systems.
• Legacy-to-Modern Integration: Experience architecting integrations between legacy/mainframe systems and SaaS or cloud-native apps.
• B2B & B2C Commerce: Experience architecting for both B2B and B2C e-commerce environments, including order, inventory, and pricing data flows.

Responsibilities

• Target-State Architecture: Own and evolve the target-state architecture across commerce, inventory/order management, and finance systems—balancing mainframe systems of record against a growing SaaS and cloud footprint.
• Stakeholder Partnership: Partner with engineering, product, and business stakeholders to translate roadmaps into architecture decisions, reference designs, and build-vs-buy recommendations.
• Architectural Oversight: Provide architectural oversight and design review for major initiatives, from early scoping through implementation.
• Integration Standards: Set and govern integration standards (API, event-driven, iPaaS, batch/EDI) so new systems connect through consistent patterns.
• Vendor & Technology Evaluation: Evaluate new vendors, platforms, and technologies against the estate and long-term strategy.
• Architecture Documentation: Maintain and communicate current- and future-state architecture diagrams, data flow maps, and inventories.
