Job summary

DuCharme, McMillen & Associates, an employee-owned enterprise, seeks a Lead Engineer, Enterprise Architecture to drive future-state architecture. You will shape strategy, set governance, and lead a small team while personally contributing to high-impact solution design.

You will partner with business leaders, IT, security, data, and delivery teams to translate needs into practical options, guiding build-versus-buy decisions and standards.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in solution or enterprise architecture.
• Experience leading cross-functional initiatives involving multiple systems.
• Ability to translate ambiguous business needs into architecture options and decisions.
• Experience with cloud architecture, APIs, security, and data strategy.

Responsibilities

• Define current-state, future-state, and transition architectures with governance.
• Lead architecture for major initiatives and provide implementation recommendations.
• Align initiatives with security, data strategy, and platform direction.
• Provide architecture leadership for AI-enabled solutions and governance.
• Mentor a team of 2–3 technical professionals and stay engaged in high-impact work.
• Communicate architecture direction and trade-offs to executives and teams.
