Job summary

Bank of America seeks an Architecture and Technology Evaluation Lead to drive assessments of next-generation platforms, strengthening data protection, privacy, governance, and discovery capabilities. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or equivalent experience.
• Strong expertise in AI, ML, and Generative AI technologies, including architecture, evaluation, and adoption strategies.
• Deep understanding of enterprise architecture, integration patterns, and distributed systems design.
• Proficiency in API management, API security, event-driven architectures, data pipelines, and data/insights platforms.
• Proven ability to design and deliver solutions for large-scale, high-performance systems.
• Experience leading technology evaluations and presenting architectural recommendations to executives.
• Cloud platforms security architecture, data governance, and privacy-by-design principles.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and executive presentation skills.
• Experience in regulated financial services or similar industries.

Responsibilities

• Define end-to-end evaluation strategy and architecture patterns for new product onboarding.
• Lead evaluation of emerging technologies and determine best-fit solutions for data discovery, protection, privacy, and governance.
• Drive architecture decisions using frameworks like AAA, POCs, vendor assessments, and market comparisons.
• Collaborate with engineering, security, infrastructure, and data management to accelerate evaluation and commercialization of new capabilities.
• Provide thought leadership in AI/ML, cloud-native architecture, and data governance.
• Ensure evaluations align with enterprise architecture standards and security controls.
• Lead build-versus-buy evaluations and present executive recommendations.
