Job summary

OxyChem, a Berkshire Hathaway company, seeks an Enterprise Application Expert to serve as the subject matter expert and strategic advisor for select enterprise application systems. You will lead governance, design solutions, and ensure scalable, secure technologies aligned with risk, compliance, and operations.

You will own daily operations, manage incidents and changes, coordinate vendor support, and drive improvements across ERP, HRIS, data warehouses, and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3-years professional IT experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical peers.
• Experience managing or working on technical projects.
• Demonstrated initiative and work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day application system operations for assigned business systems (availability, performance, and usability).
• Manage incidents, service requests, and change requests in ServiceNow, ensuring timely updates and prioritization.
• Lead advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis for complex issues with vendors.
• Act as primary escalation and advisory support for application users on system functionality and data quality.
• Architect and optimize system workflows, dashboards, reporting, security roles, and data structures.
• Develop and maintain system documentation and user training materials.
• Establish governance standards, best practices, and documentation for audit readiness.
• Design and support interfaces with ERP, HRIS, data warehouses, and mobile interfaces.
